The constitutional objectives of the Association

The Constitution of the Barossa Regions Residents’ Association includes 7 objectives. All new member applicants must acknowledge their agreement with these constitutional objectives.

The conservation of the unique character and heritage of the Barossa Region, a region which is primarily dependant on its vineyards, wineries, and agriculture.

To foster and further the interests of residents of the Barossa Region and deal with any matters pertaining to the conservation of this unique area.  

The preservation of significant current and historical cultural interests and property amongst the rural and natural landscape within the Barossa region.

Acknowledgement of the historical and traditional practices that are recognised and identified as unique to the Barossa region, and practiced throughout the viticultural, agricultural, scenic, tourism and associated enterprises of the region.

Protection of the Barossa Region’s unique heritage and culture by maintaining and preserving the rural amenity, rural character and scenic vistas that are vital for tourism, and acknowledging that future development should be well designed and support, rather than detract, from the dominant land uses. 

Environmental health and sustainability of the Barossa Region, and engagement of the community.

To do all lawful things incidental to the promotion and attainment of the objectives of the Association.
